Our candles are designed to provide hours of blissful fragrance and ambiance. Follow these tips to ensure your candles burn beautifully, safely, and for longer.
Safety Guidelines:
Always burn candles within sight and on a heat-resistant surface.
Keep candles away from flammable materials, children, and pets.
Do not burn candles to the very bottom of the container; leave at least 5mm of wax to prevent overheating.
Burn candles for 2–4 hours at a time to prevent tunnelling or wick movement.
Ensure the flame is fully extinguished before leaving the room.
Candle Care Tips:
The First Burn is Key: On the first use, allow the candle to burn for 3–4 hours or until the wax has melted evenly across the surface. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures a longer-lasting candle.
Trim Your Wick:Â Keep the wick trimmed to 5mm before each burn to avoid high flames, smoking, or sooting. Removing carbon buildup (the "mushroom" shape) ensures a clean, even burn.
Avoid Draughts:Â Place your candle in a well-ventilated area but away from draughts or fans to prevent uneven burning or flickering flames.
Keep the Wax Clear:Â Remove any debris, such as wick trimmings or matches, from the wax pool. This prevents secondary wicks from forming and burning the wax faster.
Extinguish with Care:Â Use a candle snuffer or a metal tool (such as the end of a teaspoon) to dip the wick into the melted wax and then lift it upright. This reduces smoke and primes the wick for the next use.
Protect Your Surfaces:Â Always use a heatproof surface and avoid moving candles while the wax is liquid.
Monitor Low Wax Levels:Â Stop burning your candle when approximately 10mm of wax remains. This prevents overheating or damage to the container.
Important Reminder:
Never leave a burning candle unattended, and ensure the flame is fully extinguished before leaving the room. By following these guidelines, you can enjoy your candles safely while maintaining their quality and elegance.
